นับตั้งแต่ไทยสถาปนาความสัมพันธ์ทางการทูตกับเวียดนามอย่างเป็นทางการในปี 1976 และเวียดนามได้เข้าเป็นสมาชิก ASEAN อย่างเป็นทางการในปี 1995 ส่งผลทำให้ไทยและเวียดนามเป็นสมาชิกขององค์กรที่ใหญ่ที่สุดในภูมิภาค และมีพัฒนาการความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างประเทศในทุกมิติอย่างก้าวหน้า มั่นคง และทวีความเข้มแข็งมากขึ้นในทุกๆปี

 

ทั้งสองประเทศมีความคล้ายคลึงในหลายๆด้านไม่ว่าจะเป็นทางด้านการพัฒนาทางเศรษฐกิจ การท่องเที่ยว และวัฒนธรรม ที่สนับสนุนส่งเสริมซึ่งกันและกัน โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่งในด้านความร่วมมือด้านการค้าและการลงทุนที่ทั้งสองประเทศต่างมีวัตถุประสงค์ที่จะขยายความเจริญด้านเศรษฐกิจร่วมกัน ถึงแม้ใน 2 ปีที่ผ่านมาจะมีวิกฤตการณ์และผลกระทบจากสถานการณ์โควิดทั่วโลก ทั้งสองประเทศยังคงมีการค้าและการลงทุนระหว่างกันอย่างต่อเนื่องรวมถึงให้การสนับสนุนช่วยเหลือซึ่งกันและกันในด้านต่างๆ ทำให้ได้รับผลกระทบไม่มากนักพร้อมทั้งมีความสัมพันธ์ที่แน่นแฟ้นกันมากยิ่งขึ้น

 

ในนามของสภาธุรกิจไทย-เวียดนาม หน้าที่ของเราจะต้องมุ่งเพิ่มพูนความร่วมมือทางการค้าและการลงทุน ผลักดันการแก้ปัญหาอุปสรรคทางธุรกิจ การค้าการลงทุนระหว่างสองประเทศตลอดจนการสร้างเครือข่ายนักธุรกิจไทย-เวียดนามและแสวงหาความร่วมมือในบริบทใหม่ ดิฉันขอขอบคุณทุกภาคส่วนที่มีความเกี่ยวข้อง ที่ร่วมผลักดันและให้การสนับสนุนอย่างดียิ่งเสมอมา ต่อการอำนวยความสะดวกทางการค้าและการลงทุนระหว่างไทย และเวียดนาม และพร้อมที่จะเดินหน้าร่วมกับภาครัฐและเอกชนของไทยและเวียดนามเพื่อส่งเสริมความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างประเทศระดับทวิภาคี พหุภาคี โดยเฉพาะภายหลังสถานการณ์โควิด19 คลาย อันจะอำนวยประโยชน์ร่วมกัน ในการสร้างความเข้าใจ ความร่วมมือ ระหว่างไทยกับเวียดนามและขับเคลื่อนทั้งสองประเทศให้ก้าวสู่ความรุ่งเรืองอย่างยั่งยืนสืบไป

 

Message from the Chairman, Ms. Jariya Chirathivat (the chairman of the Thailand-Vietnam Business Council)

 

Since Thailand formally established diplomatic relations with Vietnam in 1976 and Vietnam officially became a member of ASEAN in 1995, Thailand and Vietnam have become the largest two growth engines of the mainland in the region and have been developing international relations in all dimensions progressively and more strongly every year.

 

Thailand and Vietnam have similarities in many aspects in terms of economy, tourism, and culture which support each other, especially in terms of trade and investment cooperation, both countries are committed to common economic development. Even when there was a crisis and the impact of the global pandemic covid-19 circumstance, the two countries keep continuing bilateral trade and investment in various fields causing not widely impact and strengthening the relations even stronger.

 

On behalf of the Thai-Vietnam Business Council, we must enhance and facilitate trade and investment cooperation, push forward solutions to unlock policy obstacles between the two countries, as well as build a network of Thai-Vietnamese businesses to seek cooperation in a new context. I would like to thank all involved parties for providing great support to facilitate trade and investment between Thailand and Vietnam. We are ready to move forward with the public and private sectors to promote bilateral and multilateral relations to contribute to the stronger cooperation toward sustainable prosperity between Thailand and Vietnam henceforward.
